Water, Women’s Health, and Community Progress

Clean water is fundamental to healthcare — and in September, Rotifunk Hospital took important steps toward long-term solutions.

At Mission of Hope’s request, the hospital prepared detailed estimates for upgrading its water system, including new storage tanks, a deeper borehole well, and replacement of aging metal pipes. While the scope is significant, these plans will guide future investments that improve reliability year-round.

At the same time, the hospital launched the Charlene surgical project, focused on women’s reproductive health. Funded by dedicated donors, the program combines surgical outreach, community education, and training — expanding care for women who often have limited access to services.

The ambulance returned to service after repairs, surgical theater lighting was replaced, and monthly patient statistics show steady internal revenue — evidence that the hospital continues to grow in both capacity and accountability.

These advances reflect a hospital investing not only in immediate needs, but in the systems that sustain care for years to come.

Clean, fresh water is crucial to the hospital.
